Winston Crutchfield
The song so perfectly describes my family. It's not about the shows, its about who you watch them with. And that's worth fighting the dawn for a little more time together.
"One More Episode" is a love-letter and commentary on the societal love of sitting down with your favorite tv show or box set for hours on end.
lyrics
There’s a tendency to lose yourself inside a show
How it happens, yeah, nobody knows
Like a lever flips, then all the world it disappears
And there's more to watch, it seems, every year
And when I say I’m not tired and you say okay
Then we’re in this thing together so quick and press play
CHORUS:
Cause you and me, we’ve got no place to be
Tonight, we’ll fight the dawn and watch one more episode
(and watch one more episode)
That’s fine, we’ll get no sleep tonight
Curl up, it feels so right to watch one more episode
(one more episode)
And watch one more episode
(one more episode)
Spent a month with Dex, spent a week in the banana stand
Spent a Sunday wondering where Carl went
So Say We All, and the island yeah we never left
You always said that Omar scared you to death
And when I say I’m not tired and you say okay
Then we’re in this thing together so quick and press play
CHORUS:
Cause you and me, we’ve got no place to be
Tonight, we’ll fight the dawn and watch one more episode
(and watch one more episode)
That’s fine, we’ll get no sleep tonight
Curl up, it feels so right to watch one more episode
(one more episode)
And watch one more episode
(one more episode)
We’ve got the couch
We’ve got the time
We’re working hard
So let’s unwind
And dive deep in to this box set
There’s five seasons and it’s time we started
So we can laugh
With all our friends
At all the jokes
That now are in
I’ve got a feeling that once we start this
We’ll let the outer world dissolve
Cause we’re spoiler free
The way to be
Let’s start disc 3 tonight!
And when I say I’m not tired and you say okay
Then we’re in this thing together so quick and press play
CHORUS:
Cause you and me, we’ve got no place to be
Tonight, we’ll fight the dawn and watch one more episode
(and watch one more episode)
That’s fine, we’ll get no sleep tonight
Curl up, it feels so right to watch one more episode
(one more episode)
And watch one more episode
(one more episode)
Cause you and me
You and me
We’ll watch one more episode
(one more episode)
And watch one more episode
(one more episode)
And watch one more episode

I can not say enough good things about this EP. From kHill's ever-evolving beats, to Warrock's amazing lyrics, this album is sure to entertain. Plus, Sulfur's verse on Prometheus is perhaps my favorite verse ever. Ray Snyder
