"Seasons" is a song originally found on the soundtrack for Cameron Crowe's 1992 love letter to Seattle, Singles. Originally recorded by Chris Cornell for the collection, "Seasons" is the first time a cover has appeared as a Kirby Krackle Holiday Single.

I first heard "Seasons" that winter of 1992 after popping in my brand new cassette in my walkman as my family and I drove around looking at Christmas lights together. For 30 years, this song has sounded as mysterious and sibylline to me as that first night hearing it, rewinding the tape again and again for as long as we were out in search of festive suburban illumination. Even after just recently finally learning it, the song remains mysterious in the way that the best things continue to be despite a long put off look behind its curtain.

"Seasons" has always felt like a holiday song to me, not only by way of where I was when I first heard it, but also in its evergreen mystery that also exists when you allow yourself to breathe in the true reason for the season.
